Very nice, clean, newly remodeled flat in a fantastic location at the bottom of the royal mile. Grieg was a great host who provided excellent service including a nice homemade local guide to the area. The flat has a small washer and dryer so you can do laundry and pack less. Would stay here again (Geoff)

We spent 4 nights at Greig’s apartment and absolutely loved it. The communication before and during our stay was speedily and welcoming. The apartment has all the modern mod cons and has a brand new feel to it. After our late night arrival, we took advantage of the lovely pub below the apartment where we had our first Scottish whisky. The apartment is at the bottom of the Royal Mile, a stone throw away from the Scottish Parliament and Holyrood Park/Palace. We walked everywhere and could have spent a whole day just browsing the many craft shops and tearooms along Canongate/the Royal Mile. We fell in love with Edinburgh and were very sad to leave. My only disappointment was that Canongate is a very busy and noisy road at night, so some nights my sleep was interrupted a lot by cars and loud “nightcrawlers”. You may want to bring earplugs with you if you tend to have a light sleep. That is to say that my fellow travellers had no trouble sleeping despite the fact that their bedroom also faced the road. Newly renovated apartment. Everything works, good location, walking distance to Waverley and most tourist sites. The heating was sufficient for cold Scottish nights. Would recommended this place. Thanks for a great stay. (Lei)
The apartment was great. It was very clean and cosy. The location is perfect, just next to the Royal Mile. It’s an excellent choice to spend some days in Edinburgh. (Irene)
Really appreciated the little extras such as milk in the fridge and coffee on the counter, as well as soap for the dishwasher and washer/dryer. There was a even a bottle of prosecco for us when we arrived! Great apartment, great location – finding out that the on-off bus stops right in front of the building was a handy bonus. There is a tearoom just below the apartment that has great scones etc., but doesn’t open until 9AM, so we picked ours up on the way back each day for the next day’s breakfast. (Jinna)
This apartment and location is ideal for the business traveler or the tourist. Located on the quieter end of the Royal Mile, it’s easy to get anywhere in the city. Easy access to running path. Lovely view out of the dining room overlooking gardens. Comfortable, modern interior, meticulously clean and very well hosted! I plan on staying again! (Shannon)

This is a wonderful apartment and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is extremely central – we stayed here during the Fringe and it’s within easy walking distance of most venues. The apartment is newly renovated, modern and stylish and was spotlessly clean – it was more like staying in a hotel than someone’s apartment! Grieg was a fantastic host. He stayed in touch in the run-up to our stay and came to give us the keys and show us around. We would highly recommend Grieg’s apartment and would definitely stay here again. (Susan)

Greig contacted us the week before our stay to ask if there was anything he could do. Our flight was early so he met us and let us drop our bags so we could make the most of our day.. The apartment was just like a hotel, even better! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be recommending this place and hope to stay there again. (Noelle)
A very nice and modern apartment inside a not so beautiful building. It is a great place for a family of four, just a little walk to all kinds of great places in Edinburgh. The host was friendly and available. The balcony has a great view, but is somewhat bugged down by the smell and fan of the local pub. (Herbjorn)
Greig’s flat was absolutely outstanding. It seemed as if we were in a nice hotel. Examples: -new white towels -chocolate on the bed -prosecco with champagne glasses at entrance. -biscuits, coffee, milk (un-opened) In addition the flat is above a great little pub on the royal mile. A little loud, but less than expected for being on the main strip. Greig even checked in on our stay. 5stars.. Stay here. (Trevor)
